Hi Everyone,
Today is an exciting day for me! After two months of preparation, I’m ready to officially open for business. I feel kind of like the owner of a new bakery who just propped the door open for the first time. Everything looks fresh, the croissants smell amazing, and I’m standing here in my apron, nervously wondering if anyone will stop by.
Because just like a bakery might be someone else’s dream, this is mine. This is what I feel uniquely called and gifted to do. And to have the chance, at this stage in my life, to try the following three things fills me with such joy and gratitude.
So, come on in, let me show you around…
One, I’ll write regularly here on Substack with a paid subscription option (details below).
Two, I’ll offer one-on-one “Soul Work” coaching. Learn more about that at my fresh-out-of-the-oven website: www.iancummins.org.
Three, I’ll lead in-person and on-line retreats to renew your soul, usually with my colleague Elizabeth Jameson (check out her Substack page here).
In addition, I'm dreaming about doing a podcast, maybe writing a book…who knows. It’s fun to dream.
Substack Subscription Options (the details)
As of today, I’m officially asking you to consider supporting my writing financially. This feels like a big step and I’m humbled by the whole idea of it, so let me say how honored I would be if you choose this option. And let me also say that if you choose to stay on the ‘free’ side, I totally get it. I know we’re all in different places at different times and I hope you’ll keep reading, liking, commenting and sharing what I write. In fact, one of the biggest ways you can help me to grow this thing is by regularly sending friends and family the posts you think they might like. You all are my best (and only!) advertisers.
Free Subscribers
Where you are now is the free side, accessible to everyone, always. Here I’ll post short reflections about once a week called “Soul Snacks.” Cheesy name? Maybe. But who doesn’t like snacks? The idea is to give you a little something to think about for the week. For some of you, this might be all you need, and hey, the price is right! I’ll always announce upcoming retreats, classes, and news here too.
Standard Subscribers
If you upgrade to paid, for the price of a cup of coffee a month (at least at Denver prices), you’ll receive everything above, plus two longer written reflections a month (around the same length as my previous posts).
But wait, there’s more! And I’m excited about this…you’ll also be given access to a monthly Zoom gathering I will lead with my colleague, Elizabeth Jameson. Our hope is for these live events to be engaging and meaningful times of teaching, reflecting and answering questions about the spiritual life. Generally, these Zoom gatherings will be on the 2nd Tuesday of the month, 5:30-6:30pm (mountain time). They will also be recorded, so you can watch them later.
All of this is included in the Standard Subscription price, which I’m setting at $60 a year or $6 a month. I’ve tried to keep it affordable, and it would mean the world to me if you decide to subscribe. If at any time you decide to cancel, the remainder of your subscription is refunded and I’ll make sure it’s an easy process.
Cornerstone Subscribers
If you believe in what I’m doing and are in a position to help me expand this little ‘bakery’ to reach more people, any gift of $150 or more per year makes you a Cornerstone Subscriber. In addition to making my mouth drop open in appreciation, you’ll have access to everything above, plus access to an additional Zoom gathering with Elizabeth and me once a month, where we’ll have smaller-group conversation about the topic discussed in the larger Zoom gathering the week prior. Generally, these Zoom gatherings will be 3rd Tuesdays, 5:30-6:30pm (mountain time).
Okay, that’s your look around! If you made it this far, God bless you. I wish I could give you a croissant and cup of coffee for reading this whole thing! Please give some thought to what subscription level is best for you and if you want to explore one-on-one coaching, email me (through Substack or through my website) and we’ll set up a time to talk.
Until next time,
What a fantastic way to continue to share your many gifts. I often marveled that your sermons echoed the messages shared by spiritual metaphysical healers - the foundation of the soul and of love resonating throughout. Excited to follow your journey.
Glad to ber part of this community!
