I have been a faithful listener/reader of your sermon texts for eighteen years, and I look forward to being a regular reader of your Substack writings.
I excitedly opened your FIRST update. Well done! While I was not well-known to you, I have listened to your sermons at Montview for years and loved them and have prayed mightily for your, Ian, and your family. I'm so excited about these endeavors and to learn more. Here's to the second, and the third....
Congratulations on your new direction! I’m very happy to hear this. And for you it won’t be a “job.” It will be writing, learning, creating and guiding - right where you belong! I’m tuned in.
This "first" and the photo has brightened my day. I look forward to your writings that will be full of wisdom and the big L. I can hear Gilbert's laugh of delight upon seeing the photo!
Looking forward to being able to hear your perspective on both life’s challenges and gifts and how we can become stronger in our Faith as we move through life.
The photo is terrific. Jim was a big pipe smoker in his Scittish days and until he quit smoking in '82. He would have loved seeing you 4. Good for Nana to join in.
Great to hear from you Ian. I didn’t know those details! I called you once as a pastor or perhaps a much needed spiritual guide. After we had lunch that day, I saw you as a friend and someone I admired. Oddly your 3 points of inspiration, are very similar to what I learned about my own life through my own journey. That L word is so BIG. I wonder if your experience is similar. Let’s grab lunch again ole friend!
Yes! SO happy to receive this "first" with the unfolding of your journey from this point on....it is exciting for you, for me, for all of us who grow and learn from your wisdom and gentle nudgings. Will be awaiting further writings. And spiritual coaching.....perfect! Please tell us how to be in touch with you for that. Prayers for your new journey continue.
While my name may not ring a bell, I'm the person in the mountains above Boulder.
YAY!!! I’ve been (kinda) patiently/anxiously awaiting your first, Ian. So excited you are finding your path and preparing your way forward. Looking forward to joining you wherever this adventure takes you. Cheers and Love, Mary ❤️🥳❤️
